Wacky, Weird, and Poetic #PoetryCollaboration Aug 2016

Welcome to this month's poetry collaboration! For this month, we chose the theme 'Wacky and Weird'. Hopefully you enjoy my contribution! Don't forget to check out all the other contributions!

So, this month, we celebrate bad poetry. That is basically my inspiration for this post. I had the hardest time coming up with poetry for this theme. Usually, I am inspired, even if just a tiny spark of inspiration, and I build on the inspiration, creating poems. This month was not a month for poetic inspiration, but then I realized we celebrate bad poetry day. So, at the very least, you can file these poems under that! LOL

Poem 1:

Weirdly interesting.
Always entertaining.
Cooky and crazy.

Kid at heart.
You always make us laugh.

Poem 2:

Wonderfully unique.
Entertaining.
Interesting and quirky.
Radiating intrigue and individuality.
Drumming your own beat of life.

Poem 3:

Your love is like bad poetry.
You make me crazy.
I love to hate you.
You make me happy one day, and wacky the next.
One moment things are good, and the next they are weird.
You are not consistent at all.
One moment you say you love me, and the next you want nothing to do with you.
I am tired of the bad poetry between us.
I want to make poetry that inspires.
I want to be happy.
I want to be fulfilled.
I am over this.
I am over us.
I am over you.
I want to meet a new poet, to collaborate with.
I want to write sonnets that rival Shakespeare's most beloved pieces.
I want to write happy endings every single day.
I am done with this collaboration.
I am moving on.
You can stay in your own wacky world.
Find someone new to be weird with.
Happy writing.
Farewell, good bye.

There you go, my gift of bad poetry for you. I hope you enjoyed at least a little bit. Now do yourself a favor, and check out the other poets, contributing to this month's Wacky and Weird poetry!

Duke #FunnyFriday

Welcome to this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write five captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture.

Here’s today’s picture. It was submitted by Minette of Southern Belle Charm.

1. Duke: Just five more minutes!
2. Duke: You want me to walk further?! That will cost you a Milk bone.
3. Duke: Mommmm, whyyyyyyy?! Can we just stop walking now?! Do we really need to walk more?! I mean, we have to be a solid ten feet from the porch. That is enough walking right?!
4. Duke: If you insist on bringing me to the vet, you will have to carry me. I will not aid in this. The last time you took me there, well, we just won't discuss that.
5. Duke: Must take a quick nap. That Thanksgiving feast wore me out. So. Much. Chewing.

New Year, Same Me. #BlogWithFriends

Welcome to January's Blog with Friends post! I once again decided to join in, and give it my best shot. How does it work? A group of bloggers select a topic, and create a blog post based on that topic, and then join their posts together in a round-up. This month, we are all creating posts based on the topic of resolutions. The posts can include any number of things, from crafts and recipes, to informative writing, to fictional writing, and anything in between.

How do you feel about resolutions? Do you make them? Do you keep them? Do you skip them? I tend to make some, and I tend to do a decent job at keeping some of them. I tend to take a more relaxed view on them, and shoot more for goals than resolutions. I also do not let myself stress over them. I feel if it becomes stressful, that defeats the purpose.

Well, for 2018, I have decided to take them a bit more seriously. I have put some thought into it, and come up with some things I really want to accomplish, improve, or change i…

Saved by Angel Payne #BookReview

I recently read Angel Payne's latest release, and let me tell you, it was not a disappointment. I will start by saying, if you are not into BDSM themed books, than you may just want to skip this one. BDSM is woven throughout the story, and it may be hard to ignore.

Now, if you don't mind BDSM, military hotties, romance, suspense, and action... This is definitely a book you want to read right away. The plot is entertaining and well thought out. The characters are interesting and well developed. The ending is steamy hot, and qualified for a HEA status.

This book offers plenty of steaminess, lots of action and suspense, and just enough intrigue to keep you guessing. We work through the characters struggles, both with major events that happen, with their relationship with their inner selves, and with their relationship with each other. This book has something for everyone.

Now, if you maybe don't love BDSM, but you can tolerate it, I would recommend you give this book a try. I…
